About the Champlain Islands and Farms

Nestled between the Adirondack and Green Mountains, and surrounded by the sparkling blue water of Lake Champlain, is a special corner of Vermont. Here, just south of the Canadian border, you can find miles of unspoiled lakeshore, beautiful historic villages, and the vibrant spirit that comes with four hundred years of settlements dating from Samuel de Champlain's sail down the Richelieu River.

We are close to the major population centers of Montreal and Burlington, but far from the madding crowd. Here you can enjoy swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, golfing, or loafing. In season you can skate on the lake, cross country ski on the bike trails or explore the latest geo-caching sites. Cozy up to a wood fire on the beach, or in an elegant inn.
